ARES Journals: Special Issues

The best papers of ARES 2012 will be selected to submit an extended version for further reviews in selected journals:

Special issue of the Elsevier journal Information Security Technical Report (ISTR):

After the conference authors of selected outstanding papers will be invited to submit extended editions of their papers to a special issue of the Elsevier journal Information Security Technical Report (ISTR) published in 2013. The selection process will be based on both the reviewers' evaluations of the papers and the quality of the authors' presentations at the conference.

Important Dates

Announcement of Selected Papers: August 31, 2012
Paper submission due: September 30, 2012
First-round acceptance notification: November 30, 2012
Revision: December 15, 2012
Final decision: January 15, 2012
Submission of final paper: February 15, 2013
Publication date: April 2013

Submission Details

Paper submissions for the special issue should follow the submission format and guidelines for regular ISTR papers available at http://ees.elsevier.com/istr/ . The authors should make it clear what new materials are added into their ISTR special issue submissions compared with the conference editions.
